Astfin 0.3 has been released

I am proud to announce that we have released new astfin2 build. Many new features has been incorporated into this release, let me list just few of them:

New GUI base on Digium's GUI v.2
Revamped file system to provide the best of persistent and RAMFS
Option management (CPU speed, SDRAM amount, CAS) via Astfin's management interface
Support for BR4-Appliance, aka IP-BR4
Support for PR1-Appliance, aka IP-PR1 (incl. GUI driven switching between T1 and E1)
Support for Master/Slave mode in PR1-Appliance
Support for IP-04/IP-08
Support for FX08
Support for our hardware based echo cancellation
"Field upgrade" support (FULL image, managed through the GUI) with or without configuration reset.
CGIC support for C based GUI applications

  • In preparation for the upcoming new Astfin2 release, full timezone support (incl. asterisk CLI and CDR) has been added to the GUI.

  • GSM1 - our own  low cost module for GSM trunking with IP04/IP08/FX08 IP-PBX is getting ready.
    The first GSM call was made on October 15th 2008 using IP04 PBX.

  • Support for soft switching between T1 and E1 for PR1-Appliance-Pro (including proper termination)
  • Support for Master Clock mode for PR1-Appliance
  • Proper support for double rate clock required by some echo can. chips (zarlink)

  • Astfin 2 has been upgraded to uClinux 2008RC1-8.
  • Embedded Asterisk 1.4.19, latest Zaptel and Libpri v.1.4.3 have been added.
  • Fix for CallerID and few other fixes and improvements have been
    included in this release.

    • At this point support for Analog, BRI (ISDN) Appliance and PRI Appliance is available. Stamp support will be available shortly.

    IP04 support in Astfin

    Preliminary support for IP04 has been added to Astfin2. Users will be able to use benefits of Astfin2 (php, sqlite, FreePBX) on their IP04 devices.
